Amy explained how a company can sample/measure and track the incidents that might result in mishaps, raise worker awareness, and result in less of these incidents, and therefore, lower the accident rate.

The presentation addressed a variety of infection issues from resistant staff transmitted in the locker room to air borne diseases and corporate options during epidemics.

August 15, 2007 - Rob Singh, North West District Manager, KPA LLC EHS, and Jason Costello, Manager, DECON, presented Workers Compensation for EHS Professionals. They offerred their insight into Workers Compensation from their individual perspectives and job functions. They also explored the Best Management Strategies to assist EHS Professionals to more efficiently and cost-effectively manage their injuries and claims.

March 21, 2007 - Duane Caldwell, Assistant Vice President and Sr. Risk Consultant of Marsh Risk & Insurance Services, presented New California Fire & Building Codes. He described the development of the the Building and Fire Codes in California and explained why exceeding minimal compliance would make sense for your business – not just preventing accidents and saving lives, but improving business continuity assurance by mitigating the business catastrophy aspects of an incident.

February 21, 2007 - Jay Jamali, of Enviro Safetech, presented Automated External Defibrillators (AED): what to do before, during and after deployment. His presentation covered topics such as how to select the AED brand, determine number needed, location, regulatory requirements such as prescription and written program, training, storage, inspection, response, and record keeping.
